Our Story

Pawsh Salon for Dogs is a collection of like-minded dog groomers that believe safety and comfort are as important as beauty. Each and every dog treated to a spa day at Pawsh Salon will be handled with respect and dignity and will be kept as safe as we keep our own pets… and they will always leave looking their best!

Our Groomers…

Erin Clark has been grooming since 2011. She is an owner. She attended a one month grooming school with hands on training every day. She has also studied under several veteran groomers and continued her education via tradeshows, NDGAA sessions and online learning. Erin specializes in breed correct cuts and hand stripping. She lives in Roanoke with her husband, Paul, and their dog - Desmond.

Sharon Sowers has been grooming since 2006 and is an owner. She loves creative grooming and having fun with colors and accessories like feathers and bow ties. She also practices easy maintenance pet clips. Her training was a month-long interactive course followed by one-on-one training with a team of senior groomers. She loves learning new techniques through online education applications to further help her clients and pets stay healthy and happy. She lives in Roanoke with her family and two dogs.

Danielle Napier is a former groomer and owner. She has been grooming since 2010. She attended a one month grooming academy with an NDGAA Certified Master Groomer, studied under several veteran groomers and has continued her education through NDGAA sessions and testing, tradeshow classes and online learning. She specialized in hand stripping and breed correct cuts. She now counts the beans at Pawsh, answers the phone (poorly) and sometimes sweeps the floor. She lives outside of Vinton with her two dogs - Joe and Verde, and two horses - Thumper and Shooter.

Karli Ashton started her grooming journey as a bather in 2019 and trained on the job to be a grooming assistant. She discovered her passion for working with dogs and in 2021 decided to attend a hands on grooming program at Nash Academy of Animal Arts in Lexington, KY. She most enjoys grooming breeds that require a lot of scissor work and has a considerable interest in perfecting her hand stripping skills (and she is doing great.) In her spare time she enjoys crafting, hiking, baking and riding horses. She currently lives in Roanoke with her boyfriend, Nathan, their two Corgis - Cannoli and Alfredo, and their cat - Miss Kitty.

Sarah Atchison and Hannah Spence also groom at Pawsh…. they are shy though and will write a bio when they feel like it.
